GROUP OF ART CHALLENGE – ART EXHIBITION
Challenge #2 – Portrait of a Friend
Friday August 5th, 7 – 9 pm
In this challenge each of the 24 artists have been teamed up with a friend in the group and asked to create a self portrait each other, which displays their personality and are challenged to share/expose characteristics of their friend in their artwork.
For this challenge I was partnered with gnome maker – Naomi Brinkoff. The first thing I noticed about Naomi was her larger than life smile! So, that’s exactly what I did, I painted her smile at a size of 24 inches by 48 inches. I then overlapped all the writing from her blog with a phototransfer. Looks way better in real life!
