My sister and I really enjoyed the lovely weather on Thanksgiving weekend this year, as it meant superb Trash the Dress photos! My sister Trish is a professional make-up artist, and was kind enough to do both mine and her make-up for this photo shoot. I took her photo’s while wearing my wedding gown, and she took mine while wearing hers. We had a blast! And for the record – trashing the dress has nothing to do with our spouses, and everything to do with making use out of a dress we will never wear again.
Let me know if you would like to Trash or Rock your wedding dress – as I have the team to put it into place!

Challenge #2 – Portrait of a Friend
Friday August 5th, 7 – 9 pm
In this challenge each of the 24 artists have been teamed up with a friend in the group and asked to create a self portrait each other, which displays their personality and are challenged to share/expose characteristics of their friend in their artwork.
For this challenge I was partnered with gnome maker – Naomi Brinkoff. The first thing I noticed about Naomi was her larger than life smile! So, that’s exactly what I did, I painted her smile at a size of 24 inches by 48 inches. I then overlapped all the writing from her blog with a phototransfer. Looks way better in real life! Go and see it before August 12th! Nom’s and I have decided to switch art pieces, can’t wait to hang my portrait on the wall! Visit Naomi’s blog at http://www.nomshomestudio.blogspot.com/
Hey All!
I’ve finally gotten around to editing my abandoned pictures that were taken on my trip to Sudbury last month. Check out my updated abandoned gallery!

Hey all,
Again.. I apologize for not keeping up with my blog. Teachers college has kept me rather busy I must say. But I’m alive and well, I haven’t gotten the flu yet (knock on wood). Apparently there is a large storm coming in tonight. Maybe I’ll get some sweet pics of that tomorrow if it’s a snow day
Here are some winter pictures for you. Enjoy!
I have lost my Olympus Waterproof camera to the bottom of the Muskoka River. Not having my floating wrist strap attached to the camera played a big role into why it now sits at the bottom of 30 foot deep river. I tried to dive for it….. really I did! But the Muskoka River is much too dark and deep to see anything, I would have needed scuba gear to find it. And on a side note – I have a fear for logs in water.
Now my camera has been replaced with the Fujifilm Finepix Z33WP camera. I was sad to let my Olympus go, as it had served me well for over four years. But with the new comes better, more crisp images! I can now film video in HD quality, and my pictures have never looked so good for a point and shoot camera. I never knew what I was missing! So starting now all of my adventurous pictures have been taken with the Fujifilm Finepix Z33WP. This camera even came with a floating strap! It’s sand proof, drop proof, water proof, life proof. Just the camera needed for a professional photographer who likes to have a little fun and adventure.
